This 100%-Esmé creation was inspired by Kitten’s First Full Moon by Kevin Henkes – a library favorite from several months ago. I’m not sure what triggered it just now, since we don’t own the book and haven’t seen it in a while.
But here you have it – a black kitten with jingle bell nose – the moon that looks like a bowl of milk – the steps the kitten climbs to try to reach it – the tree the kitten climbs to try to reach it – the pond with the moon’s reflection that looks like a GIANT bowl of milk.

That's awesome! It's amazing how much they remember.
She used some great colours! I like how her illustration has some 3-D pop to it too.
No kids creating here... darn empty nest. But I have been creating and sewing again. So much fun. This morning I made a funnel from a empty Arizona Green Tea jug. I need to fill my door draft blockers with kitty litter and I cut off the bottom and it worked perfectly. Ta-da! My husband thought I was super creative. I totally believe in necessity being the Mother of invention... that and living in the middle of nowhere.

Soooooooooooooooooo cute! Oh, my word but she's a creative one! :D And I especially love that the whole creation has such an inventive back story -- adorable!
