Happy 4th!
I wanted to start the day with chocolate ice cream – what could be more American than that? But Mom nixed it, so we went with my second request: alphabet soup for breakfast.
And I picked out my patriotic sandals, all by myself.
Mom picked out the patriotic hat.
I did some role-playing as Mary with baby Jesus (aka Honey Pie the pony). Who says you can’t celebrate Christmas in July?
We made star cookies with white frosting and red and blue sprinkles. (And some unicorns, too. Because I LIKE unicorns.) They got eaten before Mom thought of taking a picture (a sure sign we’re out of blogging practice). The cookie dough was the best part, anyways.
Lunch was striped pizza in honor of the flag. Of course, I picked my stripes off before eating.
Daddy got the yard all cleaned up. And rescued a baby bird.
And we did the fireworks thing! Very cool, with red and blue and green and orange and purple… Just like The Little Mermaid!
Can’t wait until next year!
