Review: Who Made the World?

This is me, Esmé, reviewing MY book. I am one-two years old. I will be two AND A HALF in October!

First the facts... Who Made the World is written by Kathleen Long Bostrom and illustrated by Elena Kucharik. It is LONG - 72 pages! It rhymes and has cool pictures. Mommy says her only complaint is that I want to spend lots of time looking at the pictures and making up stories to go with the pictures instead of letting her read the book. The book is all about God making the world, by the way. It starts out with a bunch of questions for God, and then God answers them.

Here's what the publisher says about the book: "Little Blessings question books help young children understand basic truths about the Christian life. Perfect for ages 3-6, Who Made the World? addresses questions such as: How long did it take? and What did you make first? Scriptures that support each answer are provided in the back of the book. Parents can use this book as a fun tool to answer questions their little ones may have about God’s world."

Now on to my running dialogue... You must excuse some of my theology, Mommy says. She's working on it, and she says that's why we are reading books like this!

In the book we ask God what is the most fun to make. I think it's kitty cats, frogs, doggies, and butterflies.

God did NOT make the world - He made the sunshine. God did NOT make me - the sunshine made me. (Mommy's note: see what I mean?)

The prettiest things God made are butterflies and birds.

[Mommy, don't write! I want to write!]

Some wonderful things God made are turtles, rabbits, ladybugs, ants, flowers, kites, and boys. I am a BOY!

Who made God? I DON'T know!

One - two - three! God - Jesus - Spirit!

All cats are girls. All dogs are boys.

I like pink fish.

I DON'T like orange fish.

I like pink fish.

I DON'T like turtles.

I like PINK fish, OK?!

I like animals. Rabbit, cat, dog, elephant, girl, zebra, fish, lion with two feet and one tail and one nose and two eyes and one heart and one-two-three-four-five-six-seven hairs. I like to read about birds!

I like this book!

Love the review from his perspective; very cute. When I first started my blog, I planned to write all of the reviews from the perspective of my then 1 1/2 year old, but I gave up on it and wrote from my perspective.
