Swinging Away… and a CSN Giveaway

I’ve been amused (and maybe just a teensy bit jealous) at all the snow photos showing up around the blogosphere.  Here in Oregon, we’ve been having sunny skies and spring-like weather – a perfect time to be thinking about backyard swing sets and mud pies and frog hunts and sand squishing between little toes.

We’ve got the start of a custom swing set up in our backyard, and the swing is the first place Miss Esmé heads whenever we go out.  With Grandpa and Grandma here last week, she got the hang of the whole pumping action.

Which is really great, because after a had fall last year from an abrupt push, she’s been scared to death of getting on a swing.  And now that she’s in control of the swing herself, she’s thoroughly enjoying it.  Not going very high, but enjoying it.
