Wordless Wednesday - The Fourth

OK - last post on the 4th of July...

Here are the flag cookies we made. Actually, I only helped cut them out. When it came to decorating, Mommy kicked me out of the dining room after I took a bite out of 2 stars and was ready to take a bite out of a flag.

Come on! Is it my fault that the baked cookie tastes nothing like the real stuff - the dough? I just kept trying them to see if it got any better...

Here I am playing a drum at church.

And after the potluck, we went out on Uncle Jaques' boat. But there aren't any photos of me on the boat screaming and trying frantically to join Mommy on the tube behind the boat.

Instead, here are photos of me lounging around on shore afterwards - and jumping on the grounded tube!

Then, when it was really really really late, we had a picnic and watched fireworks. Here I am on a swing with Pappa, watching.

And here is an example of our personal fireworks...

What a sweet girl Esmé is. I have truly enjoyed watching her grow up. Imagine her eating cookies while decorating. [te-he]Ü

The 4th of July is always a memorable time for kids.

Love the photos of your girl. My kids are pretty sneaky too when they "help" mom bake cookes.

Oh, that watermelon picture is great. I think I love it. And she didn't get to ride on the tube in the water??? Even really, really slowly?? :( Jumping on it might be better, anyhow.

I bet she loved the fireworks. My 2 year old did but the 3 year old was NOT happy with them (o:

I just cannot believe how quickly she is growing up! She has one of the brightest smiles I have ever seen. What a fun holiday to celebrate, now that she is a little older and can enjoy it even more!

Looks like a fun filled day! Svara also loves to eat cookie dough. Cookies... not so much. It's all about the dough! So I only use recipes that don't have eggs, so I don't mind if she scrapes out the bowl (or eats a fistful of dough that she has sneaked)
