Aloha Friday

So we're taking it easy and asking a question today. A really easy question. Ready? Here it is:

If you cover your hands with hand sanitizer and rub it all over a dirty chair while waiting for your pizza at Dominos, is the chair now clean? Or are your hands now dirty?

Mommy and I are having another great debate, so please weigh in with us on this one... To keep it fair, I won't tell you which of us thinks what...

For more easy questions, see Kailani's post at An Island Life.

I would say your hands are now dirty. You cant clean the chair by having clean hands.

Your hands are now dirty. The santizer disappears quickly and doesn't act as a sealant or protectant. Touching a new thing would spread germs back onto your hands.

I would have to say it depends on how big your hands are, how big the chair is, how much sanitizer is used and what kind of pizza you were waiting for

Probably a little of both. I just don't want to be in that situation.

Your hands are now dirty. Just like if you use a rag on a chair, the rag becomes dirty after cleaning the chair. The rag does leave the chair clean though. In other words, you've traded places. Your hands will clean the chair, but the chair will dirty your hands.

Germs, schmerms. WE don't believe in hand santizer at our house so I have no real opinion, but this should make for interesting conversation!

I would have to say your hands are now dirty! Interesting conversation -- we have those around here to. We had one the other day about sneezing -- if it comes out your nose are mouth. LOL

This Grammy would probably wash her hands before eating and then try not to touch the chair... very much. Maybe I am not a germophobic as I should be. I do believe the wash. wash. wash. your hands theory if you want to prevent the spread of germs.

I would suggest that maybe it depends on the amount of hand sanitizer still left on your hands when you touch the chair. Although knowing how my kids were in places like that maybe it's best to stick w/ saying your hands are dirty!

Good luck w/ getting to Zimbabwe!

lol If you rub it on the chair with a napkin.. then I can't imagine your hands being dirty lol.. but it seems to me that your hands and the chair would be mushed with dirt even with the hand sanitizer on lol So maybe after you rub the chair down then put some more on your hands lol Never thought about it lol

Definitely dirty, mind you a little exposure to germs helps build a great immunity.
