Cradle of Love

When I met them, Max and Davona Church lived next door to my parents in Blantyre, Malawi. Max was the country director for ADRA. Davona worked as a surgery assistant with on-the-job training. And they had six kids, including two Malawian babies they had just adopted.
Fast-forward a few years. Today Davona is running the Cradle of Love Baby Home, an interim home she founded for orphaned and abandoned babies in Tanzania. In a country besieged by AIDS, many young babies are in need of intervention in order to survive. Cradle of Love provides nutrition, medical care, attention, and love.
Each of these babies has a story. You can find their stories on the Cradle of Love's blog. Some find homes with family members as they become more independent or family circumstances change. Some are adopted. Some transition to other foster care facilities. Some, unfortunately, die from AIDS or other life-threatening illnesses. But all of them, for a time, feel loved and secure at the Cradle of Love.

Every baby needs to be cradled and loved... so this is a perfect title. I need to read some of their stories.

Have you created a twitter account yet? I have met a bunch of people through that, and you might be able to spread your message to a bigger audience. I am helping my friends work on a documentary that is being filmed in Haiti, and we opened up a twitter account. Within the first day, I met a bunch of people who were eager to help us out. I even met a man who was willing to donate some of his footage to us! Check it out, and if you need any help setting it up..please let me know!
