Wordless(ful) Wednesday - York

I know, I know - we keep talking about our England/Scotland trip last month, but never really post about it. We need to catch up.

So today we'll give you a photo overview of our time at York - December 28th. It was a perfect tourist destination: We got hundreds of photos and we were only there a few hours!

Here we are standing close to the city wall. Don't you just love how everything looks so old?
And here we are approaching the majestic Minstry. It overshadows everything else in the town. (I'm in the lower left corner. You'll notice that all of these photos have me in, cuz we figure you can get professional shots of all these places from hundreds of other photographers, but not shots with ME in them!)
Here I am checking out the Minstry from the inside. Talk about "wonder!" Maybe we should've submitted this photo into the iHeartFaces "wonder" contest!
Now we're outside the Minstry trying to figure out what we're gonna do next. (Somebody please explain why that little girl is standing in the street with nobody holding her hand!)
Oh - there's an original Roman column across the street! Let's sit there and take a break!
We also checked out the Church of St Wilfrid. It is a gorgeous church in its own right, though it seems quite small right next to the Minstry.
Then we'll do some shopping on one of those cutesy streets. See the Minstry in the background?

More cutesy streets to shop on! (Not pictured: our stop at Starbucks for hot chocolate.)

And a living statue who wants to paint Mommy's head! I think purple would suit her, don't you?
Of course, a ride in my personal biplane on the merry-go-round is in order! Until it goes too fast, and then Papa has to grab me out quick!

So that's it from York. One of these days we'll move on to Scotland!

How thoughtful of your Mommy to take all those pictures of you so you can remember how much fun you had there!

great pics! I was there when I was 12. We visited the York Dungeon Museum and it was disturbing. Those live statues are crazy...they were all over france too.
