OLZ African Alphabet CD Giveaway

Mommy was looking online for some catchy kids' music to help me learn my ABCs, and up came a link to The African Alphabet CD. We watched the video of one of their songs on their site, and we were hooked...

Here is the description on their website:

“The African Alphabet” CD contains 13 fun sing-along songs for kids of all ages. The songs are an A to Z of things African and are composed in vibrant African styles ranging from Afro-Jazz, Afro-fusion, Afro-pop, to more traditional sounds and a whole lot more!

Aside from teaching the Alphabet in a novel way, the CD exposes kids to wonderful African music and culture where they will get to learn about Ululating, Soweto, Yebo, Impis, Marimbas and so much more.

The CD is also "Adult friendly" (No purple dinosaurs were used in the making of this CD!)

A big thanks to Graeme Sacks and the folks at African ABC for donating this CD for Operation Love Zimbabwe. They've got a copy reserved for one lucky commenter!

To Enter: All you have to do is leave a comment on this post. Easy peasy! Please make sure you include an email so I can contact you if you win.

You can get up to two extra entries if you (1) post about Operation Love Zimbabwe on your blog, and/or (2) put the Operation Love Zimbabwe button on your blogsite. Please leave a separate comment for each entry.

Entries must be made by 11:59 p.m. PST on February 14, 2009. The winner will be selected using http://www.random.org/ and will be contacted by email.

You don't have to wait for the contest to be over to enjoy their music. Check out The African Alphabet website to listen and purchase their music now! And stay tuned for information on their African Numbers CD.

I know a restauranteur whose wife and he are from Rhodesia...

He is very sad about what happened to Rhodesia...

It is one thing to get rid of the former white minority regime...it is another thing to have a Mugabe who is a racist and anti-Semite...and destroying the country...

Now, the Rhodesian army is eating elephant meat to stay alive...

Something is wrong...

I would like to know what you think...

I just blogged Operation Love Zimbabwe because I do. I have known about the problems evolving there for almost a decade and I am ashamed that this CD, the earrings and the scarf actually made me blog about Mugabe's big mess!

Both of my children and I are Africaphiles. I just wish there were better ways to show our love for the whole continent rather than just buying its music and fashion (beautiful as it usually is) and donating to international charities.
