The Rock

Isn't it odd how so often people's weaknesses are also their strengths? We were just talking about how Peter the stumbling block was also Peter the Rock - though God alone could see it at the start. Just thinking... (So rather than trying to wrestle those weaknesses out of your kids, you could try channeling them into strengths somehow - Mommy's still trying to figure this one out.)

We are still all under the weather, though yesterday I drug all the toilet paper off the roll and traipsed it around the house. So Mommy decided rather than throw it away, she could use it to clean the polish off her toe nails. That of course inspired me to request a pedicure, and then a manicure, (and an overall hand paint job that Mommy declined to do) so now I've got bright red nails that make me happy even though I'm sick.

We did drive into town, but I stayed in the truck with Daddy the whole time while Mommy did the grocery shopping, so I've got nothing to tell you about that.

Looking through our photos made me remember our bunnies. Our mamma bunny had a big baby litter (5 weeks) and then a little baby litter the last week before we left. Here I am with some of the big babies.

And here are the little babies. I never got around to naming them all before we left...

And I found a pair of bunny slippers in Mommy's closet - how cool is that?!
Excuse me while I run off to blow my nose...

Awww...well, I'm glad you're feeling a BIT better - hopefully tomorrow will be even better. And yeah...those are some really cute little bunnies. :)

My sister and I talk often about the weakness being made into a strength...and how the opposite is also true: sometimes our greatest strength can be our most damaging weakness. I know, I have yet to figure out how to manage that information. :-)

And those are about some SWEET little bunny pictures! I love the one of the bunny sitting in her (your) dress! ;-)

Every time we see signs of extreme willfulness in our daughter, my husband reminds me that it is better to be strong-willed than weak-willed, and if we can teach her to control her willfulness and turn it over to God, she will be a powerful force for Him!

Sounds easier than it is, though :)

Love the bunnies! Makes me miss all the wild bunnies running (hopping) around my home when I was growing up.

Between the painted nails and the slippers, I would be happy as well, despite being ill. And as an adult, I am still trying to figure out how to turn my many weaknesses into strength, I have no idea how to do that with my kids!

Sorry you guys aren't feeling well. We're in a similar boat over here -- both Little Elvis and I are a little under the weather.
I know what you mean about embracing weaknesses. I was just thinking about that this morning as we left an event I had been looking forward to taking him to. Oh well.
