PhotoHunt's theme this week is "wild," so here's a wild snake for you. Daddy killed this 70-cm beauty at the school building site up in Beira last week. As best we can tell, it is a green African boomslang, one of the most deadly snakes in the world. Pretty, huh?

Pretty scary! Yikes!
Ahh! I'm scared of snakes!
Wow, thats neat to have snakes around the house. We live in Cambodia and my 3 year old likes to catch these things and make them into "pets". She is gradually learning the difference between "dangerous" snakes and ones that can be handled. Mommy of course, would just as soon that there were no snakes in the house. It's not fair. Why can't our mom be like Bindi's mom in Australia!!!
There's no way I would've gotten that close!
Yikes, it looks so cute and harmless!
I'm so afraid of snakes...sorry, Esme...I can't agree with you on this one.
But your Daddy is very brave! Blessings to you!
Yikes...it doesn't look that dangerous, but obviously looks can be deceiving!!
That's a really cute snake. I'm just glad nobody got bit by it.
esme,
snakes are my least favorite of all God's creatures... yikes!!!
puppies are MUCH better:D

dani
Wow! You're brave!
If I could get past the fact that it is a SNAKE maybe I could agree that it is pretty but snakes FREAK ME OUT so I have to put your blog away and not return until that snake isn't the first thing I see! Ugh!
That's so scary! I had to look twice to even see it.
...shudder...
Snakes are not among my favorite creatures as we have quite a few venomous snakes in our area with probably a few around the pond.
Great capture though. An interesting snake to say the least.

How can such a cute little snake be so dangerous!?!

What a great blog you have going here! And what an interesting life... I loved reading just a bit tonight. Thanks so much for commenting recently - I always enjoy connecting with new-to-me bloggers. There is always more to read than I have time for, unfortunately - but I will certainly be back around to read more soon.
Right now - Bible study homework and french lessons before bed. Question is: can I fit it in before I give out??? Maybe... if I get off the net. :)
It looks too cute to be deadly! LOL. Very cool picture.
Oh my gosh that is scary!
It looks tiny! And yes, it is very pretty, but snakes have always scared me! The people here where I live in Asia eat EVERYTHING, so my first thought was, "I wonder what that guy tastes like?!"
i LOVE this picture!!!
