At the Beach

Last Saturday we went to the beach after the Tihavene church dedication, and I wanted to show you a few photos.

Mommy really liked this man's smile!

Here is his smile in context:

I am playing with my friend K., who recently moved here as her dad is working on our well project. She is one of my "mamas" - the word I use for anyone I don't want to leave me. She made castles and holes and filled them with water so I could play with them.

Here we are going boogie boarding around an island a little ways:

Holdin' on tight!
Daddy took me on one of those inflatable chairs way out into the ocean (it is very shallow). On the way back, I was watching him kick as he swam, and I wanted to get off and do it, too. So he let me hang onto the chair with him and we both kicked all the way back to shore!

This girl was sitting close to our gathering and seemed in marked contrast to the fun we were having.

After the beach, we had a big get-together at our house, including the 9 South African volunteers who were staying over. Here's a few of the crowd.

The beach looks beautiful! Also, looks like a fun gathering afterwards.

I'd love it if you posted some pictures of the town you live in, or your neighborhood.

Love the boogie board shots. We head to the beach at the end of the month. We'll ahve to take one. I can see my older girls enjoy a drag along the water!
