Space Day!

Friday was Space Day!  Didja miss it?  We were a little late in the game, but thanks to Reading to Know's alert, we did get a little spacey here...

If you did do something, be sure to link up over at Reading to Know for a chance to win a really neat-looking book!

On to our spacey activities...

The first thing we did was PAINT outer space!   We pulled out lots of star stickers (Mom wanted to mix colors, but I insisted on ONLY yellow stars) and stuck them on my easel paper.  Then Mom set out some blue and black liquid watercolors to paint with.

Looks pretty cool, huh?!  The blue and black paint mixed together as we went along...

Then we pulled out my Planets puzzle - it's been a while since I did that one.  It's kinda from the dark ages, since it still has Pluto on it, poor little thing...

God Made Outer Space (Happy Day Books)And the book we read, God Made Outer Space by Heno Head was also from the same dark ages, but it was nice to read, anyways...

Happy belated Space Day, folks!

I love the shirt that says "When I was your age, Pluto was still a planet."

And, love the painting, paintings like that always look SO cool!

We LOVE your starry night picture; think it's great that she voiced her opinion strongly.
