Let's show you some of the canvases this 26-month-old has been using in my art recently...
Here's my very first acrylic on canvas painting! See the tiny black-haired rock-climber in blue dress in the upper left?
Here's a monocromatic drawing on my easel paper. Lots of nice detail bringing to mind spring...
Another monochromatic drawing, on a notecard this time. Lots of eyes - my specialty!
My favorite canvas: ME! And of course, baby doll does everything I do. Here is HER painting...

Oh, she and JR would have a field day with markers/crayons/pens . . .
Gives new meaning to getting "inked"!
Cute post! an artist in the making...Christine
Too much fun. My 4 and 7 year old asked me last week to paint their faces with markers. They giggled with glee when I answered yes. Their creations, simply childhood wrapped in color. It took a bit to get them clean, but worth every scrub.
Delighted to meet you. I just found you today via a friend. I hope you don't mind but I'm going to splash around and follow to get to know you a bit more.

Love the "body art!" ;) There's nothing quite like drawing on arms and legs, huh? haha :)
lol i never know what the fasination is with drawing on yourself!
how very expressive... in choice of canvas and all
Haha! This is awesome!
The first one reminds me of Warhol at The Factory, throwing the paint. Love it. Every day is a true adventure by you..which is not only how kids should live, but adults too. ~Mary
That is why there are washable markers; 'nuff said.
ALL of my children used to love painting their skin!!! gorgeous artwork! lol
hugs,leslie
LOL what a beautiful canvas!! And love the marker tattoos!! hahaha my three year old cannot resist using himself as a canvas.
Ps. the eyes are so stink adorable. i love it.
Precious, as always! I love that quote at the beginning of your post, too. My daughter absolutely loves to paint and it is such a joy to see the things she creates. :)
What an artist!
My four year old will spend an hour on a painting, making everything just right. I love watching his concentration.
I still have an example of art on my wall from when a 15 month old artist found a Sharpie one day.
hehe, yep, what my twins look like after coloring! Too cute!
too cute! i have an award for you on my blog:

lol! i love your "tattoos" ;). my daughter enjoys doing the same thing, and sometimes requests that mom or dad contribute too.
How cute! Of course, it's cuter because it's on you. ;) My girls do the same thing. One of them has pink all over her legs right now. She decided to use the foam stamps from her grandmother. Very pretty. :P
My daughter sported that look @ that age too. Next time suggest to mom that she put food coloring in some vanilla pudding & use really heavy paper to use it on. Trust me when I tell you how much more fun that one is! Hee,hee
I love it! you're so brave! :)
Why, o why, do they like to draw on themselves???? Ladybug does it with her crayons. I'm not brave enough to give her markers yet.
Esme, your artwork is stunning! Thanks for sharing!
LOL!! I love that Baby Doll has to get in on the inky fun too :D Quite a priceless little artist you have there -- hope to see more of her creations this week :D
