Zimbabwe Newsflash

Remember how during Operation Love Zimbabwe in February, a new prime minister was sworn in and hope was awakened?

Morgan Tsvangirai had actually received the most votes for president in 2008, but President Mugabe assumed the rights...

With a power sharing agreement, Tsvangirai took on the role of prime minister now in February, but Mugabe's men weren't too happy about it. A number of unfortunate incidents have occurred in an attempt to undermine Tsvangirai's party.

Well, today Prime Minister Tsvangirai and his wife were in a car accident. He is expected to recover, but she has died from her injuries. Foul play is highly suspected.

Susan Tsvangirai and her husband were married in July 1978, when he was a young factory worker. They had six children. She played no major role in the party, apart from being constantly alongside her husband in public and lending visible support.

Please keep their family, and the country of Zimbabwe, in your prayers.

I'm so sorry, especially about the newly-orphaned children and the newly-bereaved spouse.

Anybody who can deliberately plan the death of other people will never get any sympathy from me.
