Rockin' Award

This morning I HAD to put on a white tshirt. Mommy got me one of those 5-packs of cheap white 2T/3T comfy tshirts when we were in the US in May, and they are just the right size to leave a gap between the bottom of the shirt and the top of my pants, which is perfect for putting a finger in the belly button. With 5 of them, there is usually at least one clean one (CLEAN being a relative word where white is concerned). And the white shows off mud stains and food stains and paint so NICELY!

After Mommy realized she wasn't gonna convince me to put on a dress, she came up with some lame ideas of things to wear with my perfect white T. A pair of girly cotton green overalls - NOT! I got those off in a heartbeat! Then a pair of denim shorts - NOT again! Finally Daddy interpeted for me and told Mommy WHITE was in, and sure enough, I was quite happy to put on my white pants!

Mommy's note here: What's the right age to let your baby start dictating what she wears? For me, I guess it's as soon as she starts taking off her own clothes when she doesn't like them. I miss dressing up my baby doll... :)

So now that I have my white ensemble on, it's time to go make mud stew with Mavinga. We get out my stacker cups and make a mix of dirt and water. Mavinga finds a stick to stir it with, and I grab it from him. It is, after all, MY stacker cup, right? And he can go find himself another stick somewhere. So we happily? stir and mix and grab and slop and splash.

Finally we're all done with our concoction, and Ms. Catherine helps me clean out my stacker cups. As you can see, Mavinga is nowhere to be found. Typical man when there are dishes to be done...
So that was just part of my day. Before I digress too much, I promised more awards. We were honored to receive a Your Blog Rocks award from Real Me at Meaningful Days, who has one of those awesomely honest and real and inspiringly godly blogs. And so we get to pass it on to 5 more blogs:
  1. Breanne at Expectantly Waiting. I love her baby's butterfly princess costume!
  2. Octamom. Mom of 8 (lots of activity!) and great writer!
  3. Dana at Just Talk. Who does way too much on her days off work.
  4. Sheila at Somebody Loved. Who leaves wonderful comments and has a bit of everything on her blog.
  5. Simply Stork. Great photos here!
Mommy says it's not time yet to tell you about the "P" crafts, but I just had to show you what I made yesterday. It's a Pretty Painted Perfumed Plumeria bouquet in a Pink Pinion Gear. Bet you'd never have come up with that one by yourself!

Have a blessed weekend!

my son went through a phase of picking his clothes too... so now I give him a choice of two or three shirts and then 2 or 3 pants/shorts and go with that!

got to love the independence especially when mud is involved!

I love the mud stew. Lovely white outfit, amazed it was still white after concocting.

Sounds like you have a budding fashionista. Little Elvis is really only picky when it comes to his shoes.

Of course it had to be white. White is the only color to wear when you'll be playing in the mud.

Yeah! Thank you!!! Wow - she looks pretty clean (and cute) in the white for making mud stew. I am not sure I try to point my daughter in the right direction with her outfits but she has last choice most of the time.
