Mommy says to tell you she finished her Pilates DVD yesterday, even though I tried to help by standing in front of the computer monitor. Somehow her excitement evades me.
Yesterday we went to a BBQ in honor of my cousin's 10th birthday (and my other cousin's 14th, too). Here's part of the crowd checking out the food. I made sure I got plenty to eat by making the rounds and grabbing food off people's plates. Mommy's not impressed, but no one else seemed to mind.
Speaking of birthdays, a week ago last Friday was my 1 1/2 year birthday. So we had a half birthday party to celebrate. We had a half-baked half cake, and I got half presents, and half of my friends were there. Well, not exactly . . .
Here I am with my half cake all lit up (one cupcake for each month more than 1 year).
EVERYBODY helped me blow them candles out. That's an awful lot of wind! Here I am trying to figure out those crazy things!
Mommy gave me a cupcake to eat, and I handed it right back to her. I am such a generous child!
Here I am helping her serve the cake to everybody. Not only am I generous, I'm helpful, too!
Here I am checking out the icing. Not bad, considering that Mommy was whipping it up 1/2 hour before everybody pitched up, and she's never made icing before (that premade stuff rocks!) and she wasn't even following a recipe.
Oh - I did mention I got half presents! Here I am checking out the bags. Just like at my 1st birthday, I was too busy playing with each present to move on to the next one right away.
And here I am giving Mommy some butterfly sticker tattoos. Cool mommy, huh?!

Thanks for commenting on my site. These pictures are precious. What a great idea to have a half birthday for her! My daughter was born in August, never got the "school" party. So every year we had a half birthday for her at school so she could share cupcakes with the kids. She loved it!

Aww! Happy 1 1/2 year old birthday Esme! I have to admit, my son wasn't as lucky as you...he only had a 1 year and a 2 year b-day...mabye we'll throw him a 2 1/2 year b-day to make up for it. :) I'm glad you had so much fun!!!
