There are lots of old rock walls and paths there - prime holiday spot at one time. Like much of Mozambique, it was probably built up during Portuguese colonial years, and when the Portuguese left in 1975, the jungle was allowed to reclaim the areas that weren’t bombed to smithereens by the civil war.
