Mommy says I will get to open a flap every day and check out the activity picture inside to see what Thanksgiving activity we're going to do that day! Today is a fire truck. I wonder what we're gonna do...
Anyway, we are are going to do 30 Days of Thanks this month, so I told Mommy some of the things I'm thankful for today. Here it is:- George, my stuffed monkey who lets me dress him in my clothes
- Angels who say "Glory to God!" and "Don't be scared!" and are in the sky
- Jesus
- Playdough and mixing yellow and blue playdough
- Handel's Messiah
- Gum from Mommy's purse

Oh, I'm so tickled you joined in on the 30 Days of Thanks! I've got a McLinky thing going on my blog - my first time doing that - I'm so excited that I actually figured out how to do all that...
Anyway, I was browsing around your blog - like what I'm reading - and am super curious about the American-Mozambique connection :) I am AMerican-German (or German-American?) so I always like international perspectives! In any case, I look forward to getting to know more about you - and I am thankful to have some partners in giving thanks this month!
PS I too am a HUGE fan of Handel's Messiah!!!!! (and Jesus and of angels who say things like "Glory to God in the Highest"!) :)
What a cute idea. Walking the other day with my 2 year old, I tried to explain what it meant to be thankful, and I asked him what he was thankful for. He said "help," so I said, "well, what makes you happy?" He said, "mama!" Then I asked for more things and he pointed to a yellow sign and said "yaya!" (he does love yellow). Then, he couldn't think of more, so I said, "well, what makes you say 'yay' when you do it?" I thought he'd mention riding the little carousel at the market. He said, without hesitation, "poo poo!" It's true, he does say "yay" when he does it. I think it's because we said that the one time he went in the potty. Now it's a game for me to quiz him and him to name other things he's grateful for - games with Dada, diggers, etc.
