I haven't had marula since Zim days. It's a wild fruit that can't be cultivated "in captivity". The alcoholic Amarula Cream is made from it, but elephants and other beasts love the fruit fresh off the tree. And so do I. Count your blessings you get to drink it.

#12 - Lemonade (fresh squeezed - 4 or 5 to the jug, add sugar, top up with water and a couple crushed mint leaves). Works better in summer than winter though... If all else fails, juice them, freeze the juice in ziploc bags or ice cubes (then stick the cubes in a ziploc in the freezer) and use in those smaller quantities out of lemon season.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09669869159446275381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-562197752166850400.post-79288128179818418052008-07-17T20:03:00.000-07:002008-07-17T20:03:00.000-07:00oh my...good questions! unfortunately i have no a...oh my...good questions! unfortunately i have no answers other than don't worry about nursing her to sleep and make lots and lots of lemonade!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-562197752166850400.post-32193316571137649092008-07-17T18:32:00.000-07:002008-07-17T18:32:00.000-07:00Oh yeah, and an excellent book on marriage after b...Oh yeah, and an excellent book on marriage after baby is called "And baby makes three" by John Gottman, it's fabulousAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-562197752166850400.post-23924524866709325022008-07-17T18:29:00.000-07:002008-07-17T18:29:00.000-07:00Nursing to sleep is not bad for baby's teeth both ...Nursing to sleep is not bad for baby's teeth both because of the sugars (they are different than formula) but also because the way the baby sucks milk spends very little time in the actual mouth and goes almost directly to the throat.

Marula is a fruit that comes from the Marula tree (I think)... all I know is I was on safari and the guide says that they start to ferment in the heat when they fall to the ground and the elephants have been known to get drunk off it- funny!
